​Dr. Jacqueline Bennett, Ph.D., is the inventor of Verdimine’s intellectual property. Dr. Bennett is a professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at SUNY Oneonta. She has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from West Virginia University, and a Master's and Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California.

Her research interests lie in green chemistry, inquiry-based learning, and the use of technology to enhance student learning. She is also a mentor to future scientists in her research group called the BLONDES: Building a Legacy of Outstanding New Developments and Excellence in Science.
