Dr. Joseph Marasco
Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Joseph Marasco is an established veteran of the fine chemical industry. He has been CEO/President of four life-science firms, three of which he co-founded, with two exits and another currently pending public offering. He brings highly pertinent leadership to the company in not only commercializing chemical technologies, but also in successfully building start-up enterprises.
Dr. Marasco has a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Virginia and was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Walter Reed Medical Center, Division of Biochemistry, where he worked on new nerve gas antidotes for the Defense Intelligence Administration (D.I.A.) and NATO.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT TEAM
Director of Business Development and Marketing
Caroline Wilson has a B.A. in Communication with Minors in Biology and Sociology from SUNY Geneseo. As an undergraduate student, she gained experience in small business development and marketing through a two-year position as Geneseo Main Street Intern with the Livingston County Economic Development Corporation.
Director of Administration
Christian D'Angelo will earn a B.A. in Psychology with a Minor in Communication from SUNY Geneseo in May 2018. He has a diverse background of professional experiences including in hospitality, management and finance. He is also active in the Geneseo Opportunities for Leadership (GOLD) program.
Director of Contracts
Chris Callery will earn a B.S. in Business Administration from SUNY Geneseo in May 2018. He has gained experience and knowledge of logistics and supply chain management after interning at an established manufacturing company, and Internet startup company specialized in shipping.

Dr. Jacqueline Bennett
Chief Scientific Officer
Jacqueline Bennett has an MS and Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California-Riverside, and B.S. and B.A. in Chemistry and Biology from West Virginia University. She is a professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at SUNY Oneonta, where she leads her research group the BLONDES: Building a Legacy of Outstanding New Developments and Excellence in Science.
Dr. Eric Helms
Chief Technical Officer
Eric Helms has a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin. He is currently a professor of Chemistry at SUNY Geneseo, where he won the Chancellor's Award for Excellence in 2014. He has industrial experience in paints/coatings chemistry, process chemistry, and separations chemistry.
Franceska Hasanaj will earn a B.S. in Chemistry from SUNY Geneseo in May 2019. As an undergraduate student, she worked as a laboratory assistant for over 40 students, where she was responsible for managing laboratory inventory, leading experiments and training students in laboratory software programs.
Nicolas Capra will earn a B.S. in Chemistry from SUNY Oneonta in May 2018. He has extensive research experience in the synthesis and analysis of organometallic and inorganic compounds, and worked as a research student with Dr. Bennett during her work on green imine synthesis.
TECHNICAL ADVISORY TEAM
Austin Lamb will earn his Ph.D. in Biochemistry at Texas A&M University. He has a B.S. in Biochemistry from SUNY Geneseo. As an undergrad, he developed skills in chemical and biochemical problem-solving through his research and work experiences at Bio-Cat Microbials and Ortho Clinical Diagnostics.
Alyson Rice has a Ph.D. in Chemistry from North Carolina State University at Raleigh, and M.S. in Chemistry with a Minor in Mathematics from SUNY Oneonta. As an undergraduate student, she was a member of Dr. Bennett's research group, the BLONDS, and assisted in the development of Verdimine's technology.
Anyango Kamina is a pre-doctoral research scientist in microbiology and immunology at the University of Buffalo. She has a B.S. in Biochemistry and Cell and Molecular Biology from SUNY Oneonta, where she also worked as a research student with Dr. Bennett during her work on green imine synthesis.
Michelle Linder has a B.S. in Chemistry from SUNY Oneonta. During her undergraduate studies, she was the first undergrad ever to win the Joseph Breen Memorial Fellowship from the American Chemical Society. She also assisted Dr. Bennett in her early work on green imine synthesis.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Judy Albers is the VanArsdale Chair in Entrepreneurship at SUNY Geneseo, where she has introduced a comprehensive entrepreneurship and student incubator program. She holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Duke University, a Ph.D. from Brandeis, and completed her post-doc at Princeton.
SUNY RF Representative
Steven Wood is Assistant Director of Innovation Services for SUNY RF. He is an experienced patent attorney and has worked with many tech startups. He has an MS in Electrical Engineering and JD from Syracuse University, and Advanced LL.M., Air and Space Law from Leiden University.

Tanya Waite is the Partnership Manager for the SUNY Research Foundation. She has a B.A. in History and Politics from SUNY Potsdam, MS in Legal Studies with Specialization in Technology Transfer from Albany Law School of Union University, and MBA from SUNY Albany.
